What’s the cost of a general contractor?

Hiring a general contractor (GC) is a big decision. In our experience, we’ve heard from many people who tried to remodel on their own in the name of saving money. More often than not, a general contractor can actually save you money in the long run. Not to mention time and headaches!

Here are the basics of what a general contractor does, what they cost, and why our services are beneficial to you.

What we do

We provide realistic price ranges for your project during our first conversation. We then price it out accordingly based on the chosen design and selections. This is always a fixed price. We also manage the entire process and warranty our work.

What we don’t do

We do not provide free estimates or engage in bidding. We also do not offer free consultations or coupons. We will never “make selections as we go,” since that’s something always planned before construction begins.

What our costs cover

Our costs cover accurate pricing before the start of a project. They also include developing plans for your remodel as well as a clear roadmap and timeline for your project.

Why plan?

All of our planning not only ensures you get a true price for your project, but also helps determine how well we’ll work together. Is our relationship a good fit? We can’t remodel successfully if we’re on two different wavelengths!

Why hire us

Managing a construction process is a lot more work than most people realize. We’re here to do that for you! We have strong relationships with quality trades and suppliers—which are hard to find on your own as a homeowner. And we pride ourselves on being good listeners and communicators.

In short, your home is likely the biggest investment you’ll ever make. We work with you to mitigate risks on that investment. We’re with you every step of the way, ensuring that your hard-earned money is allocated properly across trades, design, time, selections, materials, and warranties. We’re worth every penny!
